The controller of your personal data is , . Contact: support.
Your voice and everything you dictate stay on your own computer. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to store, sell or lose. The only personal data we hold is the email address you gave at checkout, tied to your licence key.
Speech recognition runs entirely on your machine. The app's local log file records the length of a transcript and how long processing took — never the words themselves — and that file stays on your computer.
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To send your licence key and handle support and refunds | Until you ask us to erase it |
| Licence key and purchase reference | To issue, validate and — if you are refunded — revoke the licence | Life of the licence |
| Anonymous machine identifiers — up to three one-way hashes | To enforce the device limit of the tier you bought, currently , and to tell the same computer coming back apart from a different one | Life of the licence |
| Date of the last licence check | So support can tell which of your machines is still in use | Life of the licence |
Those identifiers are one-way hashes derived from hardware values on your PC. They are not reversible into your name, your hardware serial numbers, or anything else about you, and they are not used for tracking or advertising. More than one is used so that reinstalling Windows or replacing a drive is recognised as the same computer rather than costing you a device slot.
Where the UK/EU GDPR applies: performance of our contract with you (issuing and validating the licence you bought) and our legitimate interest in preventing licence abuse. We do not rely on consent for any of it, and we do not process special-category data.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we run no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
We are based in the United States, and the processors listed above operate internationally. Your email address and licence record may therefore be processed outside your own country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where the UK/EU GDPR applies, those transfers rely on the safeguards each processor has in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
You can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, or to object to or restrict processing. Email support and we will action it.
Erasure removes your email address from our records. Your licence keeps working — we deliberately keep the key and its activation slots, because deleting them would break software you paid for. Once erased we can no longer look your key up by email, so keep a copy of it.
If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
InkBeepAI is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes materially we will update this page. It is dated by the version of the site you are reading.
